Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has regretted the events which led to the fallout between him and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi.
The two leaders went separate ways, a reason that has been attributed to the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mudavadi has been drumming for a large opposition team dubbed National Super Alliance (NASA) which Odinga backed on Tuesday.
“People make mistakes and as human beings, we made one in 2013. We should have fought the war together but unfortunately it did not happen,” he said.
“The problem becomes big if we don’t learn from the past. I won’t repeat it and I am ready to work together with Musalia. That is the way to go and as opposition, we are ready to win elections,” he added.
While it is not clear how the opposition will share its slots, Mudavadi and Odinga hinted of a major coalition before 2017 polls that will face Jubilee administration.
