The National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, is asking the police and the IEBC, to investigate the disruption of the opposition’s rally in Kapsabet on Sunday.
The rally turned chaotic after Nasa and Jubilee supporters clashed at the Kapsabet ASK showground in Nandi County.
Raila has told the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to take tough action against the perpetrators of the chaos.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader accused Jubilee leaders of paying some of their supporters to disrupt their rally.
Police had to intervene to repulse the youths who chanted anti-Raila slogans.
The rally continued after normalcy was restored.
The former prime minister accused the Jubilee administration of failing to address the challenges facing farmers in the country.
"Since Jubilee took over, farmers have become poorer. The prices of raw milk have gone too low while tea farmers now get only Sh10 per Kilo as a bonus, this is a big failure of the government," Raila said, as quoted by The Star.
He told the residents that the opposition is determined to improve Kenya’s agricultural sector.
"We decided to start our rallies here because we know the significance of this town, this is the headquarters of the Kalenjin community," he said.
Other Nasa principals - Kalonzo Musyoka (running mate), Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto were also present at the function.
