Photo/the-star.co.keNasa Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has promised residents of Turkana that he will deliver 30 percent of oil revenue as set in the Petroleum Production and Exploration Bill of 2016.He said “The President himself refused to assent to the billl that had set Turkana’s share of oil revenue at 30 percent, I promise that I will assent the bill to law seven days after I am elected,” he said.With resources such as oil, livestock and massive underground water reservoirs, Turkana should not be a poor county. We will do things differently to tap into this potential to improve the economy of Turkana. Revenue from the oil should be used to improve lives sustainability of residents and I support Governor Nanok on his stand,” Odinga said today when addressing a rally at the Moi Garden grounds in Lodwar town. On oil exploration, Odinga promised that Nasa will build pipelines from Lokichar to transport the oil to the port for export.
