National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga has floored Uhuru Kenyatta in a rare contest. Odinga has been ranked ahead of incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta in the leaked Ipsos Synovate polls. The new findings put the ODM boss ahead of Jubilee party leader in several counties including Machakos.

According to Kenya Today, the yet to be released polls predicts a NASA win come August 8. Odinga has 53% whuch is far much better than Uhuru’s 41% with the rest being shared by the other candidates while some voters are undecided. The research reveals that Raila Odinga will win in 27 counties. These include the country’s cities of Nairobi’ Kisumu and Mombasa.

The other counties that are tipped to give NASA a win are Machakos, Tana River, Lamu, Garissa, Busia, Vihiga, Kakamega, Bungoma, Kisii, Kwale, Wajir, Nyamira, Kilifi, Migori, Kitui, Makueni, Siaya, Trans Nzoia, Homa Bay, Kajiado, Narok, Samburu, Taita Taveta and Turkana. Other counties have seen an increased vote for opposition. They include Isiolo, West Pokot, Baringo, Meru and Uasin Gishu.

There is good news for NASA fifth principal Governor Isaac Ruto as his county has an increased Raila stake. Nakuru is another county where NASA is gaining ground. The report also says that first time voters prefer voting for NASA. Kenya Today reported that there are forces against the release of the new survey.
