Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has accused NASA leader of being behind the 'hopeless' petition against Justice Njoki Ndung'u.
This comes after Lawyer Apollo Mboya filed the petition seeking removal of the Supreme Court judge over gross misconduct.
Murkomen wondered why nobody was castigating Mboya like they had in the case of Ngunjiri Wambugu.
"@RailaOdinga has filed a hopeless petition against Ndungu through @MboyaApollo. How come he ain't being castigated like @ngunjiriwambugu?" the Elgeyo Marakwet senator asked via twitter on Saturday.
This is the third such petition filed against Supreme Court judges following its decision to nullify the presidential election and order for a fresh vote on October 26.
Earlier, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu filed a petition challenging the suitability of Chief Justice David Maraga as president of the Supreme Court.
The second was filed against Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and fellow Supreme Court Judge Isaac Lenaola which poked holes in their integrity.
