Cord leader, Raila Odinga has blamed the IEBC for the low voter registration across the country.
Raila through his Facebook page has said that after three years since the last general elections, IEBC is doing nothing to ensure all citizens of voting age are registered.
"Kenya has a population of more than 40 million people yet only 14 million are registered voters and IEBC has done nothing to improve on this figures," said Raila.
He also lashed out at IEBC for the failed biometric voter registration kits.
" Nobody knows why the BVR equipment's failed within an hour into the last elections, we don’t know where those equipment are today and whether any tests have been done to ensure that they can be used come next year," said Raila.
The former premier alleged that ground was being laid for another last minute dash that paves the way for monumental corruption and eventually national grand failure.
"The government and IEBC are arguing against calls for reforms whose aim is to mend the democratic process, and ensure that the results of elections accurately reflect the will of the people. The silence, secrecy, denial, and general incompetence surrounding IEBC three years after elections should not be entertained," added Raila.
