The family of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has disowned an article published on the Sunday Standard claiming that Rosemary Odinga is in a critical condition that has left the family in worry. The ODM party leader has dismissed the allegations, terming them as false, fabricated and shameful. In the report, the Standard also said Raila was planning to pull Rosemary out of elective politics when she returns home."The story is a fraudulent exercise of journalism which attempts to pass fictitious suppositions as truth on the medical condition of Rosemary Odinga and on the position of the Odinga family on matters surrounding her health and career," said Raila."Readers must treat this story as a con and know that they have been cheated on any money they spent on it," he added."In reality, the facts put forward by the writer are totally fictitious and the headline is a con, all conjured by the writer to give the impression that Raila Odinga had spoken to the writer or to someone at the Standard regarding Rosemary's health."Rosemary was flown out of the country last week to seek further treatment in South Africa.
