After announcing his withdrawal from the race for the nation’s top seat, National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga has pulled another shocker after saying he is ready to take part in the exercise if he is assured of free and fair polls.

Through Siaya Senator and NASA lawyer James Orengo on Wednesday, Raila, who was taking a fourth stab at the nation’s top post, said that he decided to pull out after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) failed to meet his demands.

The opposition leader wanted IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and other officials who are suspected of rigging his victory to resign before the exercise is undertaken. Orengo insisted that Raila is still in the race to State house.

“I hear Uhuru said Raila should drop out of the race. Let me tell you, Raila has not dropped out of the race. Raila will participate in the election but it has to be a credible election,’ he said, as quoted by The Star.

The lawmaker also said that there can be no polls without NASA candidate on the ballot paper. “There will never be an election which Raila Odinga is not a candidate. We will not relent," Orengo said.
