Raila Odinga has coined another name for the ruling party Jubilee.
Speaking during his tour of Taita Taveta County, Odinga said that Jubilee’s second name is corruption. According to Raila, the poor economic performance is one of the reasons why Jubilee must be voted out.
“The cost of living has gone up. Unga, sugar, transport has gone up because of fatal economic flaws…the other name for Jubilee is corruption. That is why we are saying that on August 8, Jubilee must go home,” Raila said as quoted by the Star.
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula echoed his sentiments. The Ford Kenya leader promised coast residents a rapid implementation of the Minerals Bill and faulted Jubilee for looting millions. He likened Odinga to former US president Barrack Obama and promised to have a fully funded education system from primary to secondary school.
“The money being stolen through corruption is enough to cater for the education of every Kenyan child right from primary to high school. In the first ten minutes upon ascension to power (in 1998) Obama signed the Guantanamo Bay Bill into law. When Raila gets into office, the first thing he will do is sign the Minerals Bill,” Wetang’ula said.
