Political commentator Janelynn Njuki how now claimed that the decision taken by NASA leader Raila Odinga to pull out of the presidential race amounts to a concession.
In an opinion editorial published in The Star Newspaper on Thursday, Njuki asserted that the Opposition chief's move to call for nationwide demonstrations against the IEBC is aimed at compelling Jubilee to share power with NASA.
She observed that Mr Odinga does not stand any realistic chance of clinching the presidency, and has therefore resorted to creating unnecessary hurdles to ensure that he scuttles the elections on October 26.
"The realization that he will never ascend to power has made him develop withdrawal strategies that can only be interpreted as conceding of defeat. Raila knows he can never be victorious on the ballot," she opined.
"He and his NASA co-principals are developing mechanisms intended to either force a coalition government or a caretaker one," she added.
The former Prime Minister withdrew from the presidential race on October 10, citing lack of electoral reforms within IEBC.
