Cord principal Raila Odinga took the opportunity to hit out at the Jubilee government for failing to implement the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report, which he termed as the only solution to historical land injustices in the Coast region.

The event marked the end of Raila’s tour in the region which began on Tuesday, where he traversed Taita Taveta County, holding public rallies and meetings with party delegates in the county.

This was Raila’s second tour of the Coast, as he seeks to consolidate ODM’s support in the region, following defections by a number of Coast leaders to the newly formed Jubilee Party.

Zani has in the recent past been in the forefront of defending ODM and Raila Odinga against Jubilee critics.

She lashed out at Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya for ditching the opposition side, saying the move will not shake ODM’s grassroots support in the county.

Raila was accompanied by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.
