The residents said Raila, who has been fighting corruption among other challenges facing Kenya, may serve as a good president like Magufuli is to the Tanzanian people.

Speaking on Sunday morning at Raila’s village in the interior Kibera slums, the residents argued that Raila should be tried to serve as Kenyan president and see what changes he will bring to our country.

"I believe Raila's presidential plans to Kenyans may benefit everyone as Magufuli is doing in Tanzania. Raila should be given a chance to serve as Kenyan president,’’ said Elias Mutisya.

"We have seen through media the leadership of Magufuli in Tanzania. Magufuli has cancelled public holidays to serve the community. He has fought corruption in Tanzania. His leadership may be same as Raila's who has been in opposition for a long time and has been fighting poor leadership in the country," argued Mark Opano.

The residents pointed out that Raila has the experience in leadership, which could help him lead the country as president to ensure that the common mwananchi does not suffer as it is now.

"In 2017 elections, Kenyans should decide wisely. Everybody has suffered hard economic times in the country despite them being Cord or Jubilee supporters," said Julius Omondi.
