Opinion pollster Ipsos Synovate has yet again released their latest survey which has a positive message for Raila Odinga's National Super Alliance (NASA).

The findings that were released on Tuesday  states that NASA is currently enjoying a 42 percent popularity compared to Jubilee's overall 47% while 8% were undecided and only 1% plans to boycott the polls.

According to the research the main reason why NASA may be closing up the gap is linked to food shortage and by extension the cost of living.

"Lets come to the reason and if we look at the right direction infrastructure was the most frequent mentioned, followed by leadership and the education sector what stands out is 68 percent who mentioned the cost of living," said Ipsos Synovate research analyst Tom Wolf.

This findings also mean that if the elections were held today NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta will end up in run-off based on the constitutional 50 plus one requirement because as per the research none of the two has achieved that.
