The days of Migori Senator Wilfred Machage in ODM may be numbered after his fallout with party leader Raila Odinga who has dared him to quit if he is not happy and comfortable in it.
According to Odinga, Machage is among ‘few traitors’ who are adding no value to the party.
“Let him go, we have many qualified people who are ready to take his position. We only want to deal with people who are steadfast in ODM,” Odinga said on Tuesday at Stella village in Migori when he met with Kuria elders.
The Senator has been conspicuously missing in nearly all ODM functions and he further never attended Raila’s meeting with Kuria elders.
Dr Machage’s troubles have further been compounded by the fact that even the elected leaders in the region have disowned him.
Reports indicate that he is contemplating going for a parliamentary seat on Jubilee Party ticket but ODM die-hards in the region have warned him to be braced for a political showdown.
The elders and a section of MCAs from the region have warned Machage to stop dragging the community to Jubilee lest they vote him out.
