Cord leader Raila Odinga is in Nigeria for the 5th Zik Lecture Series.
Accompanied by his daughter Rosemary, Raila was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University by Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who is the chairman of the 5th Zik Lecture Series.
He delivered a talk on The Crisis of Nation States in Africa late Wednesday.
Alongside his daughter, Odinga on Tuesday night attended an occasion where they witnessed the breaking of 'Kola' nuts by His Royal Highness Gibson Nwosu, Ezeuzu II Awka.
"The breaking of Kola nuts is an age old tradition among the Igbo used for a variety of events, but principally to welcome guests to a village or house," said Odinga.
They were accompanied by Senator Dr (High Chief) Ben Ndi Obi during a dinner hosted by Anambra State government.
Odinga also met the Deputy Governor of Anambra State Dr Nkem Okeke and widow of Nigeria's founding President Prof Uche Azikiwe ahead of his special address.
