[Photo| Courtesy]The Opposition leader Raila Odinga has expressed disappointment with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee government for using excessive force on the National Super Alliance (Nasa) supporters during and after his homecoming after his 19-day US trip. 26 people were reported dead between November 17 and 21 after confrontations with police.Raila who spoke emotionally during the fundraising for the families of those killed, said that Tuesday, November 28 should not be a day for celebrating but a day for mourning the young lives that were lost. "At this moment and time it will be crazy for any government to be arranging a ceremony when the country is mourning," said Raila.
"We announce today one week mourning for these young lives, and there should be no celebrations before this people are buried," he said. Odinga added, "This lives have not gone in vain, they are people who have died in struggle. They have paid their ultimate price on the liberation of this country."
