Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has called on Kenyans to elect him during the August general elections.

Speaking on Tuesday during his tour of Kiambu county, the former Prime Minister put the Jubilee administration on the spot for failing to address the high cost of living and unemployment in the country.

“The rate of unemployment is very high and is affecting so many Kenyans, especially our youth. We will make sure we create employment and reduce the cost of living,” he said.

The ODM party leader further denied existence of bad blood between him and the Kikuyu community, accusing local leaders of spreading propaganda and lies about him in the region.

“The Kikuyu community has been lied to for so long that I am an enemy to them. No, I am not and I will never be," he stated.

His sentiments were reiterated by NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi, who cited the high cost of living to lack of proper planning.

“We as NASA do not have a problem with anyone, but we want to put in place better management structures so we can improve the lives of Kenyans” he said.
