The opposition chief Raila Odinga has disgreed with the Kikuyu lawmaker Kimani Ichung’wa over the split in the National Super Alliance (NASA).
Speaking at PCEA Church in Thika, the legislator said that the NASA leader has completely divided the coalition and he is now after dividing Jubilee party.
“Raila’s politics is politics of division, we will not allow that. He has divided NASA completely and it is over and there is no opportunity to come and divide Jubilee we will remain firm,” said Ichung’wa on Sunday.
This is contrary to Raila’s comments on the unity of the coalition where he said that NASA is as strong as its constituent parties adding that ODM meets to strengthen itself asking the other co-principals to do the same.
“As a party together with the NASA coalition, we must align accordingly. We remain committed to the vision and spirit of NASA coalition which we believe is as strong as it constituent parties. This meeting today is part of ODM’s determination to strengthen itself as our partners do the same,” clarified Mr. Odinga.
Raila was speaking during the joint meeting of ODM party in Mombasa where he stressed on unity of the nation as contrary to Kikuyu legislator’s comments that the opposition chief is after divisive politics.
