Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader Raila Odinga has dismissed reports that the opposition alliance, NASA, is heading to a break up.
Raila said sibling rivalry within a coalition is 'normal', adding that the recent division over parliamentary committee positions would cool off.
"It is not easy to satisfy everybody. This noise you are hearing is normal. It shall be addressed once MPs share all committee slots and other positions available," he said.
Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC), an affiliate of NASA, threatened to pull out of the coalition after the position of Deputy Minority Chief Whip was awarded to Wiper Party.
ANC had proposed Lugari MP Ayub Savula for the seat but it was given to Robert Mbui, the Kathiani legislator.
Coast MPs supporting the opposition also cried foul after they missed to clinch any position.
On his planned swearing-in, Raila reaffirmed that all NASA constituent parties were behind the December 12 event.
He said although his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka could miss the ceremony, he had his blessings to be inaugurated.
"I would like him to be part of what we will do on Tuesday but we understand his situation. His party will come up with an amicable proposal for that day," the former Prime Minister said.
Kalonzo is in Germany attending his ailing wife, Pauline Musyoka.
