Cord leader Raila Odinga has put the record straight over the ongoing reports that he is trying to woo Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi into the coalition and in return support him during the 2017 presidential elections.

According to Mr Odinga, he is not ready to leave his coalition partners Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula to support someone outside the coalition.

Speaking at an ODM Life Members dinner at Laico Regency, Odinga said that the coalition has able leaders who have what it takes to take on Jubilee during the next poll.

"Some are saying that Raila is trying to woo other people to be Cord's flag bearer. How can I leave my partner and pick someone else? Don't we have able men here?" Odinga posed.

"There are no issues in Cord and we will have a flag bearer. We as Cord will remain together because we have a duty to liberate this country and deliver the pledges we have made," he added.

The revelation by Odinga will at last cool the tension within the coalition after reports surfaced that there were plans to overhaul the outfit and bring on board new members in a bid to add strength ahead of 2017 poll.
