ODM party leader Raila Odinga has dispatched a team of ODM leaders to Kerio Valley.
This is in solidarity with residents who have been experiencing frequent attacks by bandits.
''I have concurrently dispatched another ODM team to Marakwet for solidarity meetings with the people following the spate of attacks that have been witnessed in the area,'' said the former prime minister.
The ODM team is led by Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi, Simba Arati (Dagorreti North), and Gladys Wanga, among others.
They will hold prayer meetings at Tankul in Kapyego area and another in Kapcherop Saturday, before joining the rest of ODM leaders in Mombasa for the Tononoka rally.
Counties in the region have been facing banditary attacks, with several families left helpless.
The government has since deployed KDF soldiers to restore security.
