Taveta MP Naomi Shaban has asked NASA supporters not to heed to Raila Odinga’s call for election boycott.Shaban claimed that Raila does not care for his supporters and only wants to use them to achieve his own selfish agenda.Addressing residents in Voi Town on Sunday, Shaban claimed that Raila and other NASA leaders want to divide the country along tribal lines in the name of pushing for electoral reforms. She said Raila’s call for election boycott is unconstitutional, adding that the former Prime Minister (PM) is disobeying the same constitution he agitated for.“My message to NASA supporters and Kenyans at large is for them to maintain peace and unity as they prepare to vote on Thursday,” said Shaban.Shaban told Kenyans that it is their democratic right to vote adding that no politician has the right to force or deny them an opportunity to exercise their constitutional right. The Jubilee politician at the same time rubbished claims by opposition leaders that IEBC is not ready for the repeat poll. She said the electoral agency is ready and is working within the timelines given by the Supreme Court to oversee the Thursday poll.Shaban urged the government to provide adequate security before, during and after the repeat poll. The government has warned that it will deal with anyone planning to sabotage voting on Thursday.
