Cord leader Raila Odinga has urged Kisii residents to downplay any Jubilee advances in the region ahead of the 2017 general-elect.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Gusii stadium where he was attending a youths forum, Odinga affirmed that Cord was working hard to ensure they come up with a strong political movement that will trounce Jubilee party in 2017 elections.
"You should not be afraid of Jubilee party. We will hold them down in the forthcoming 2017 elections. As Cord coalition, we are a house full of unity and we will come up with a team that will easily beat Jubilee in 2017," Odinga said.
His sentiments were echoed by Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira counterpart John Nyagarama who reminded the people that Kisii was a Cord at the same urging residents to vote for the opposition.
Odinga also assured that Cord was united and the parties under the coalition will work together to give Jubilee a run for their money.
He further called on other parties to join the opposition.
