Gatundu North MP Kigo Njenga has accused Cord leader Raila Odinga of plotting for a 'Nusu Mkate' government in 2017.
Kigo claims that Raila has sensed defeat and is now looking for avenues for a coalition government.
The Gatundu North MP further claims that Raila wants to intimidate the IEBC ahead of the 2017 polls.
The MP claimed that Odinga knows that he can’t win against President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.
“We know Raila’s plan which is to incite Kenyans against the IEBC as we approach 2017,” he alleged during a rally at Kamwangi town centre in Gatundu North on Sunday.
Kigo said that Cord’s claims of rigging in 2017 is a clear indication of the coalition’s ill motives.
The MP dared the opposition to boycott the polls.
He said that Kenyans are aware of the opposition propaganda and will not be swayed.
Cord is alleging a ploy by the President Uhuru Kenyatta government to rig the 2017 polls.
On Sunday, ODM claimed that Jubilee government is intruding into IEBC affairs with an aim to rig the 2017 elections.
In a statement to newsrooms on Sunday, ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohammed asked the IEBC to stop procurement of voting materials until new IEBC commissioners are appointed.
The government has refuted Cord’s rigging claims.
