A section of youths allied to Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati have accused ODM party leadership for allegedly shortchanging the outspoken leader.
Last week, ODM made various appointments in her national leadership with city lawyer Edwin Sifuna appointed as the party's Secretary General.
Led by Beavon Magare, the team that has been pushing for installation of Arati as Gusii elder, claimed that the NEC had picked him to serve as National Vice Chairperson.
"We are particularly angered by Raila's blatant decision to drop Arati as Vice Chair. We al know that he had been picked by NEC.
"It is sad that dark forces could conspire with him against our leader. This is betraying loyalists and it is unacceptable," he said.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris who accused the party leadership over decision to drop Arati.
Instead, the party leadership forwarded Kisii Women Representative Janet Ong'era to the NGC for ratification.
