National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga has come out to explain how foreign envoys supported electoral injustice in the country.
Speaking on Sunday, Raila said that it was wrong for foreign envoys to condemn him after the controversial ‘swearing-in’ yet they did nothing to curb electoral malpractice.
Raila noted that just a week to the October 26 repeat polls, IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati admitted that he was not sure about the credibility of the elections.
He added that just two days to the polls, envoys came out and stated that they had trust in the system.
“Godec and Hailey supported electoral injustice. Two days before the polls, they admitted they were satisfied with the preparations when Chebukati had said otherwise. We don’t need advice from Godec because they have shown that they are partisan,” said Raila.
Raila was speaking at Kijiji slums area after visiting victims of the recent fire tragedy.
His sentiment comes after a group of 11 envoys called on Raila to identify Uhuru Kenyatta as the legally elected President.
