The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of playing a pivotal role in the woes facing Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Speaking on Tuesday when he hosted the Bunge La Mwananchi Forum at Orange House, Mr Odinga further accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of abuse of office, claiming that the head of state is using his powers to settle political scores.
"We are not going to tolerate presidential abuse of power. We are telling the President to remember where we are all coming from," he noted.
Governor Joho has in the recent past run into trouble with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations questioning the authenticity of Joho's academic papers.
It is alleged that the ODM Deputy Party leader forged his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to get admission at the University of Nairobi.
The governor has since denied the claims.
