National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga has come out to explain the main reason why he was abandoned during his controversial swearing-in on January 30.
Speaking on Saturday, Raila said that his NASA co-principal were afraid of being arrested after mamoth crowd turned up for the event at Uhuru Park.
He said that Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi thought his political career was over after the controversial event.
He was addressing mourners in Siaya County during the burial of Laban Ohito.
“They thought I had been swallowed by crocodiles in the river yet I survived,” he said.
He further defended his decision to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta stating that it was the right move to end divisive politics in the country.
“We are constructing a bridge to go to the other side until we reach Canaan,” he said.
