Opposition leader Raila Odinga has explained the reason that informed former Meru governor Peter Munya to ditch the NASA alliance.
Raila said that Munya was put 'under a lot of pressure' and blackmail, something that forced him to retreat to Jubilee.
The NASA leader however said that Munya's departure will have no impact on his votes in Meru, adding that he received massive support in the region even as Munya campaigned for President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the August 8 elections.
"I have no problem at all but you need to know that I got a lot of votes in Munya's backyard when he was supporting Uhuru in the last elections," he said.
"So my support in Meru county is still intact. In fact if anything else I think it has increased because of what happened. Mr Munya has been campaigning for me," he added.
Munya ditched Raila back to the Jubilee Party barely a week after leaving and becoming a principal in NASA.
