This is after acting interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi imposed a curfew in Lamu, Garissa and Tana River Counties ahead of the August general elections.

Speaking at Mkunguni Square on Lamu island,  the Former Prime Minister opines that imposing a curfew is not a solution to the security related issues facing this nation as the elections date draw closer.

"Whatever it is that Jubilee plans to achieve with the curfew isn't genuine. We want it lifted immediately because it will affect the voting pattern ... the government should strengthen the security apparatus instead of opting for curfews," he said.

The opposition leader also said that Kenya Defense Forces( KDF) should be withdrawn from Somali to come back and protect our land from invasion.

"The KDF has no business in Somalia when its country is in dire need of security," the Opposition leader said. His remarks were backed by Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka,  also his presidential running mate who said President Uhuru Kenyatta knows he days are numbered, adding that he is trying everything to retain power.
