Opposition chief Raila Odinga has warned Kenyans against entrusting Jubilee government with another five years, claiming that they will sink the country economically.
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime has been engulfed in several corruption related scandals among them Sh1.6bn (NYS) and Sh5bn in the health sectors which have brought heated political campaigns.
On Friday, Odinga said the country risked economic quagmire should Jubilee team win much anticipated 2017 polls.
“Five more years for Jubilee will literally finish this country and that is an assurance. Corruption is now the order of the day with even the president admitting that he cannot tame corrupt individuals,” he said.
“We only have few months to decide the destiny of this nation and that is in 2017. Ensure you register as a voter and help rescue this country from the den of corruption and maladministration,” he told a large crowd in Nyamira.
The former Prime Minister also seized the opportunity to warn the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission against rigging in favor of Jubilee.
