Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Friday night left the country for Israel ahead of the official launch of the NASA coalition’s presidential campaign in a fortnight.

According to Raila’s spokesman Dennis Onyango, Odinga will be attending an international conference in Israel.

“Yes, he left the country last night. He has been invited to attend an international conference whose details I will release later,” Onyango said.

ODM director of elections and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed also disclosed that the NASA leader will be away for a week.

“He is attending a conference and will be back after one week to officially launch the NASA presidential campaign,” said Mohamed.

This is not the first time Raila Odinga is in Israel for an international conference.

In March last year, he travelled to Jerusalem for the first-ever Africa-Israel Policy and Leadership conference where he was among the key speakers.
