Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga flew out of the country on Sunday to France and United Kingdom to attend a high profile business meeting and participate in a televised Al Jazeera talk show focusing on a range of issues.

Mr Odinga according to a Sunday dispatch from his office will address an April 11-12 meeting of the Emerging Markets Forum (EMF) in Paris.

The forum will be hosted by the Governor of Banque de France and will be attended by four EMF co-Chairpersons; Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara, Germany President Horst Koehler, Michel Camdessus and Hiroshi Watanabe.

The Forum will focus on Striving for a Just, Prosperous and Harmonious Global Community.

After the meeting Odinga will fly to the UK  where he will participate in the Al Jazeera Television Head-to-Head program at the Oxford Union.

The televised event is a one-on-one interview entailing a robust exchange with the host alongside a panel of other guests focusing on upcoming elections, the 2007 Post-Election Violence and issues of justice, record in office and the thorny problem of corruption.

His visit to France comes only days after President Uhuru Kenyatta returned to the country after visiting France and Germany.

Raila will return to the country at the end of the week.
