Opposition leader Raila Odinga has forgiven the companies that, according to the National Resistance Movement, allegedly worked with Jubilee to thwart the cause of justice and democracy.
He said that his coming together with Uhuru Kenyatta had removed the need for boycotting the products of Safaricom, Bidco, and Haco.
''During the days when we were fighting, we were angry at the companies that were working with Jubilee to torment our people. We said Safaricom, Brookside, Bidco, and we added Haco industries and asked our people to boycott their products. We announce today that we have removed the order to boycott the products of these companies. We have forgiven Safaricom, Bidco, Brookside, and Haco. Our people can now work with these companies,'' Raila Odinga said.
The veteran opposition leader spoke today, Tuesday, during Labour Day celebrations in Nairobi.
He said that the focus should now shift to improving the lives of the Kenyan people and ensuring that long-lasting solutions to the country's perennial problems are found.
The dramatic announcement will come as a relief to the companies that suffered significant decreases in their respective bottom lines.
