Traditionally, the region which is the home to Deputy President William Ruto has supported Jubilee Party. However, Raila Odinga is keen to rewrite the narrative.
According to the poll result by Infotrak released on Tuesday, Raila's support in the region has risen to 32% with only one week remaining to the August 8 polls.
On the other hand, President Kenyatta would garner 65% of the region's votes of elections were held today.
The poll further states that Mr. Odinga enjoys support across five regions while Uhuru enjoys popularity in three regions.
Mr. Odinga enjoys 63% support in Coast against Uhuru's 32%,51% in Eastern against Uhuru's 47%, 79% in Western against the President's 19%, 86% in Nyanza against Uhuru's 14% and 56% in Nairobi against Uhuru's 40%.
On his side, Uhuru enjoys 92% in Central against Raila's 5%, 65% in Rift Valley against Raila's 32% and 48% in North Eastern against Raila's 46%.
While releasing the poll, Infotrak CEO Angela Ambitho ruled out the possibility of a run off.
