Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga's forays into Kericho county got off to a rude start on Thursday after a section of a crowd he was addressing booed him at Kapsoit trading centre.
Odinga was at pains to explain the shortcomings of the Jubilee regime to a crowd which kept responding in the opposite.
"The cost of living is so high, farmers in this region are struggling and the state of infrastructure is seriously wanting.Isn't that so," he queried a crowd that shouted 'Uwongo'
The coalition which is combing the vote rich county divided itself into four groups in a bid to traverse the whole of it.
Mr Odinga and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto are leading the first team to Fort Tenan, Kapsoit and Ainamoi while Mr Musalia Mudavadi will be in Kedowa, Chepseon and Brooke centres as Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka traverses Cheptuiyet, Sigowet, Kiptere and Sosiot areas.Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho are set to camp in Litein, Cheborgei, Roret and Ngoina Road before they all converge in Kericho Town for a mega rally.
The county which boasts over 300,000 votes voted overwhelmingly to Jubilee's Uhuru Kenyatta who garnered 90 per cent of the votes in 2013.
However governor Ruto who is the opposition's point man in the South Rift region is confident that they will stage an upset.
