NASA leader Raila Odinga has said that the government is coming after him following his swearing-in as the People's President.
Speaking on Thursday, Raila said that the government is targeting leaders present at the event in order to reach him.
The former Prime Minister maintained that he was ready to pay the price for his action.
I know they are targeting those who were present at the swearing-in to get to me. But I am not afraid of them. I am ready to pay the ultimate price,” Raila told The Standard.
He further stated that the country was under from the government and it was time to act.
"The country is under threat from a government attempting to turn back the hands of time and re-introduce an era where the President enjoyed unfettered authority. But they are living in denial. The people are angry at what is going on. That is why we will stay the course,” he said.
Leaders thought to have been behind the 'swearing-in' have been targeted by the national government.
So far lawyer Miguna Miguna has been deported to Canada over his role in the event.
