The National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga has been told to keep off Jubilee affairs and instead concentrate on drumming up support for his presidential bid.
According to Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Raila has been intimidating ministers and interfering with their work.
The accusations follow consistent claims by the opposition leader that Jubilee administration is using government officials to campaign for the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The NASA leader has threatened to fire all civil servants who campaign for Uhuru if the Opposition forms the next government after the August 8 poll.
"Uhuru must prepare to leave office with his political civil servants. We won't allow them to serve in a NASA government,” Raila said recently speaking at the Bomas of Kenya.
But Wamalwa accused Raila of misleading Kenyans saying it is the duty of Cabinet Secretaries to inform citizens what the government is doing.
"Raila has been a minister and so he knows the nature of our work. It is our duty to develop and implement government policies. That is basically what we are doing," he said, as quoted by the Star.
The CS added: "If he thinks that going around describing the investments made under President Kenyatta leadership is campaigning, so be it."
Wamalwa made the remarks on Wednesday after opening a training for Jubilee Party agents in Bungoma town.
