Speaking on Friday shortly after Raila held a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Harambee House, Muluka claimed that the ODM party leader had not informed NASA principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavdi about the meeting.

Muluka said he had been in touch with Mudavadi who confirmed that Raila had not disclosed to them any information regarding the meeting.

“I have just spoken to my party leader and he was not aware of the meeting. Raila acted alone and this is unacceptable,” said Muluka, during a phone interview with Kenyans.co.ke.

“Raila has shown us his character just as I had warned Kenyans before. With the swearing-in and with this, he sneaked behind their back and did it alone,” he added.

Muluka claimed that there had been rumours of Raila holding secret meetings with Jubilee leaders among them Jimmy Kibaki and former Othaya MP Mary Wambui.

“There were rumours that Raila had been meeting with luminaries from that side all along even after the swearing-in,” said Muluka.

The political strategist said it was unfortunate that Raila will not be condemned for betraying his NASA principals because his supporters idolise him.

“Had any of the other principals done this I’m sure it would not have been received well but because Raila is idolised we will not hear anyone condemn such betrayal. This is unacceptable,” he added, as quoted by the daily.

Uhuru on Friday held talks with Raila where the two resolved to unite Kenyans following the divisive August 8 general election.

This comes a day after Muluka accused Raila of duping Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Wetangula just hours to his swearing-in ceremony on January 30.

Muluka said Raila betrayed the three co-principals by appearing alone at Uhuru Park despite an agreement to meet at one of the principals’ houses before the event.
