According to Kuria, they had agreed to spearhead peace caravans and unite the country without engaging in political debates and criticisms.

Kuria on Tuesday, however, accused Raila of attacking the Jubilee government in the three homecoming parties he has attended for lawmakers charged with hate speech recently.

“We had an agreement that we will keep off politics as part of preaching unity under the Pangani Six peace caravan but Raila Odinga has breached the agreement and instead used the platforms to criticize and condemn the Jubilee government,” he said on the phone.

Kuria said that Odinga during the homecoming party for Kilifi women Representative Aisha Jumwa, Busia Women Representative Florence Mutua and Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire over the weekend attacked and criticized the Jubilee government.

Kuria said that peace and unity will be realized if all politicians commit to it. “We should not fool Kenyans but rather commit ourselves to unite the country,” he added.

The Gatundu South MP on Tuesday last week had a luncheon with Raila Odinga.

The luncheon was also attended by other lawmakers who had been detained in police cells for four days over alleged hate speech.

The leaders after the lunch vowed to work together in uniting the country despite their different political affiliations.
