Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga will tour Tharaka Nithi County, a region perceived to have allegedly denied him presidency in 2007.
Retired President Mwai Kibaki was training the former premier before Tharaka Nithi results were declared by defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya (ECK).
In a statement posted by Acting Secretary General Agnes Zani, Raila will be in Tharaka Nithi on Wednesday, a day after gracing Laikipia County which is also government stronghold.
“The ODM party leader will be touring Tharaka Nithi County on Wednesday for a meet people tour. This is part of our strategy to reach more people and understand problems which our people are facing on the ground,” read the statement.
“On Tuesday, our brigade will tour Laikipia County and interact with people there. On Saturday, we shall conclude by meeting all party ward representatives across the country,” added the statement.
Raila has embarked on charm offensive in Jubilee strongholds after stepping foot in Kericho County on Sunday.
