NASA leader Raila Odinga is holding the country at ransom by escalating the political temperatures.

This is according to former nominated ODM MP Isaac Mwaura.

Mwaura, who ditched ODM and is now a nominated senator with the Jubilee Party, said this on Wednesday, adding that Raila's actions could put the country at the brink of violence.

"This country belongs to all of us. Our country is facing challenges because of political tension we are finding ourselves in. The challenges are affecting all of us including school children preparing for national examinations," Mwaura said.

His sentiments were echoed by Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi who hit out at the opposition saying that every elected legislator must now take responsibility and be careful of their actions.

"History will judge NASA and all elected leaders causing divisions in this country very harshly. We are told that there will be no election on October 26 but we are not told if there will be violence or people will be hindered to vote," Wamatangi said.
