Raila enjoyed cordial relationship with the Ex-Zimbabwean premier who served concurrently with his tenure in Kenya.

Acting MDC president Nelson Chamisa, who received Raila at Harare International Airport, said the veteran Panafricanist will speak on behalf of pro-democratic fighters across the world in Tuesday's funeral.

"I am happy to receive MT's most trusted friend Mzee Raila Odinga. MDC honours him and respects his roles in fighting against bad givernance" he said in a tweet.

Chamisa, who has been backed to take over from Tsvangirai added: " He will be given special time to speak tomorrow on behalf of pro-democracy advocates."

Also expected to share platform with Raila are Presidents Emmerson Mnangagwa ( Zimbabwe), Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa) and Tanzania's Magufuli Pombe.

Both Raila, Pombe and Ramaphosa shared close relationship with Tsvangirai.

Tsvangirai died last week in a Johannesburg hospital after years of battle with colon cancer.
