NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga suffered humiliation in his Siaya backyard on Sunday after crowds jeered him as he attempted to campaign for Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga.
Angry youths heckled at the ODM leader in front of the other NASA principals in his Bondo backyard.
This came after Raila had asked supporters to implement the six-piece voting pattern in the elections, prompting the crowds to raised their voice and wave hands in disapproval.
"Six-piece" voting system will see voters choose President, Governor, Senator, Women Rep, Member of National Assembly and Member of County Assembly from one party.
“Do not embarrass me, ensure that our team comprising of Governor, Senator, Women representative, MP and MCA are one team,” said Raila to the crowd.
“If we have an ODM governor here in Siaya, it will be easy for me to source for resources and channel it down to our counties unlike where there is an independent governor,” Raila said.
“We do not want Madoadoa (mixed parties) in Siaya County,” he added.
Governor Rasanga earlier clinched the ODM primaries slot for re-election but his opponent Nicholas Gumbo contested the results, saying they lacked transparency.
