Raila has been accused time and again by both Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto of scheming to share power with them.
But Raila told KTN TV during an interview on Tuesday, September 12 that such claims were unfounded and that he was interested in duel between him and Uhuru Kenyatta.
He was asked if he was looking for a political settlement in the ongoing impasse.
“ That’s what Jubilee would want to make people believe, Nusu Mkate (coalition government). We are sure we can win this election if it is fair,” Raila said.
He also denied saying that he would boycott the election until certain conditions are met by IEBC.
“We have not said we will boycott elections that is media framing. We are saying there will be no elections if our demands are not met for there to be elections, there has to be parties to contest. Jubilee candidate can go ahead and be declared the winner unopposed,” Raila added.
He was also asked if he would go to the streets in case he misses to participate in the poll, Raila said” I shall cross the bridge when we get there”
Raila also said Uhuru should not boast of having a comfortable majority in parliament as many petitions have been filed against Jubilee MPS.
He also dismissed threats by Uhuru that Jubilee MPs will impeach him should he become president after October 16 repeat election
