ODM leader Raila Odinga has yet again fought back claims that he is plotting to break the Jubilee party in the name of his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Despite the unexpected unity being hailed from across the political divide, Deputy President William Ruto's allies have otherwise read malice.
And through the party's Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Raila says he is only interestd in uniting Kenyans besides revamping his Orange party.
"We engage in activities as a party. It is not our intention to kill any other person, group of party," Sifuna told ODM officials in Kiambu.
He added: "We believe these other parties are free to engage in party activities. Our vibrancy is only for uplifting ourselves."
Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has often accused Raila of hijacking the famous handshake for his own benefit.
While President Uhuru is focused on cementing his legacy, Ruto is however keen to secure presidency in 2022 polls.
