NASA's presidential candidate Raila Odinga has demystified claims that he makes statements that have no proof on issues of national importance.
According to Raila, his statements can be substantiated by proof that he obtains from his intelligence on all agencies that he refers to.
Raila further reiterated that he was a member of the National Security Council while the holding the Prime Minister docket in the country and so he has contacts from various independent agencies in the country.
"I don't make baseless statements of issues of national importance. I was once a member of the National Security Council and so I have contacts that inform me of all wrong doings by any agency in the country. This means I can substantiate my claims," said Raila.
Raila also defended his earlier claims linking the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) to a rigging scheme of the August polls. He believes it is suspicious to have KDF personnel recruited as IEBC officials and security agents for elections.
The opposition chief pointed out that it was IEBC's responsibility to watch over the election and the police service to offer security during elections.
"I must maintain that it is suspicious to have the KDF officers be assigned to election processes in the country. They cannot be deployed as IEBC agents or neither can they be used as security agents as that is the work of the police service," added Raila.
Raila made the remarks when he appeared for the presidential debate CUEA on Monday.
