Raila Odinga will be keen top work with 'fresh blood' from the former Western province as he assembles his troops for the next course of action.

On Tuesday, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula skipped his inauguration, a move that has led to immense criticism from top leadership.

"Presidency is not meant for cowards. It is sad that Musalia has failed the test and now Raila will not handover to him," said Francis Atwoli, a key pillar behind Luhya unity.

And the event set stage for inauguration of new young leaders Raila is now keen to mentor before he unveils his next plan according to an ODM insider.

The three include Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, activist Edwin Sifuna and defiant NASA Chief Executive Norman Magaya.

"The three have shown distinct leadership and Raila is now keen to work with them after the disappointment," said the source, who declined to be named.

Mudavadi is battling claims that he has been secretly working with President Uhuru Kenyatta despite being in NASA.

During August elections, the former Vice President was Chief Agent for Raila, a position that Atwoli said would have made him automatic heir of Raila.
