Former Raila Odinga aide Eliud Owalo has accused the opposition leader of imposing his daughter Rosemary Odinga onto the people of Kibra constituency.
According to the Star, Owalo accused Raila of plotting to rig him out during the ODM ticket nominations and instead give the slot to Rosemary.
In a letter written on Thursday, Owalo said that he was privy to verifiable reports that the scheme was already at advanced stages to see the daughter instated “on the good people of Kibra constituency” in an undemocratic manner.
"If indeed there are such plans, then with a lot of disdain, one is left wondering about the rationale behind the recent invitation by the party for prospective candidates for all elective positions to submit their applications," he said.
Owalo noted that applications for the nominations process would be a futile thing if nominees for various positions, "including but not limited to Kibra constituency have already been arbitrarily decided beforehand".
