Cord leader Raila Odinga arrived in Melili, Narok County for the homecoming of Anglican Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit, Saturday.

Ole Sapit's homecoming comes six months after he was elected to succeed retired Eliud Wabukala, in May 2016, by the ACK Electoral College members.

He emerged first in a tightly contested elections that were conducted at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.

Other five bishops who contested included; Lawrence Dena of the Malindi Diocese, Moses Masamba Nthuka of Mbere Diocese, Joel Waweru Nairobi Diocese, James Ochiel of Southern Nyanza Diocese and Julius Wanyoike of the ACK Thika Diocese.

He officially took over from Archbishop Wabukala in July.

The Archbishop has been in the lead in calling for peace across the country.
